Send an HTTP request to SharePoint - Forms API - Flows Failing since 18-09-2024

Posted on by 14
Hi there,
I created a flow using the 'Send an HTTP request to SharePoint' action to download a file from Forms and then create a file in SharePoint. About 30 days ago, this flow worked well, but since yesterday, it has failed. Does anyone know a solution or a different way to access Microsoft Forms responses?

    Hi,

Newbie here. Found this as fell into this issue too in September when everything was running sweet.

What I'm curious about if anything has noticed this little issue around the same time: [note: If there is another area I should post this, I'm sorry yet please point me in the right direction as I cannot find anything about]

Create a new form. Collect the responses. Start the Excel spreadsheet to start collecting responses/sync'd.
I use Power Automate to reference this Excel xlsx as I copy the file when we've finished collecting responses. We would clear down the responses (obviously now broken!) yet when you do this, the Excel file does not clear. Only appends.
Inside the old spreadsheets it would call the table 'Table1'. Now it is 'OfficeForms.Table'. Column A was previously 'ID' and now 'Id'
It's easy to fix for new xlsx files by changing them yet this change was around the same time as the HTTP Delete response stopping.

Assuming I get approved for Premium...
Does anyone have the step by step to swap our the old for the Entra ID alternative? I've got dozens and I'd appreciate a shortcut given how much of a headache this is already causing.

    Much appreciated :)

Hi All - We had already raise ticket with MS Team and they confirmed that this feature no longer avaiable with SharePoint API connector.

"We just received information that this is not supported. As per document, it only supports SharePoint APIs.
Working with the SharePoint Send HTTP Request flow action in Power Automate | Microsoft Learn

The fact that it was able to work before is an accident and not intentional design. It authorized for more than SharePoint permission. This is now getting fixed and will cause the requests to other APIs like forms, Dataverse, outlook,.. using SharePoint connector to fail as observed.

Currently I don't see any workarounds without using Premium connectors. There is a work-around is to use Http request with Entra ID, but that's premium feature."

Also experiencing this issue since last week. Hopefully a fix for us non-premium users soon!

Just got a response from MS support stating that they added logic to the Sharepoint HTTP connector, to prevent requests to platforms other than sharepoint.
So I think the Sharepoint http to get Forms data trick might be dead now - unless MS chooses to add new functionality to support our requests.

I am currently waiting for the sharepoint team to get back to me on the question on what to do with non-premium users.

Same here since 20 Sep. 24. See some solution using Entra ID HTTP but it a premium connector. I have E5 but not Power automate Premium. Form has become important part in many of our automate workflow, MS should consider create more action for MS Form instead of us find work around like this.

I have just been in contact with MS, support engineer said they are aware of this and are working on it.

Just had to submit a lot of diagnostic data for them from flows.

Hopefully they can get it fixed soon.

We had the same issue - Luckily we could just migrate our specific Forms request to the Entra connector.

I did however submit a ticket at MS Power Platform support. so currently awaiting an answer on if it is a change or an error in the connector.

Same issue since 18th. Connection reset and URI change (groups, light) don't work in the flow but get response in a browser.
Hopefully it will be resolved soon without premium licence!
