PowerApp connection with Project Online

Hello all -

Working on a PowerApps app using Project Online/PWA dataflow. When I access the DataFlow from within Power Apps I see my Project Online data. The block is that I don't appear to be able to get that data into a PowerApps Gallery/Model driven app display unless I am using DataVerse which PWA is not. The net result is looking to be able to drive my PowerAutomate flow off a PowerApps Gallery/Model-driven app but cannot see how to get there.

I request and would sincerely appreciate any guidance!

Thank you!

Andre

    1. Load PWA Data into Dataverse via Dataflow

If your Dataflow is configured to load data into Dataverse tables, you can:

    • Create a custom table in Dataverse.
    • Map your PWA data into that table via the Dataflow.
    • Use that table in a Canvas app Gallery or a Model-driven app.

Make sure your Dataflow destination is set to Dataverse, not just Power BI.

    2. Use Power Automate to Move Data

If Dataflow isn’t enough, you can:

    • Use Power Automate to pull data from PWA via the Project Online connector.
    • Store it in Dataverse or a SharePoint list.
    • Then bind your Power Apps Gallery to that data source.

    3. Use Power BI Embedded (if read-only is acceptable)

If you only need to display PWA data:

    • Create a Power BI report using the PWA data.
    • Embed it in Power Apps or Power Pages.
    • Trigger flows based on selections using Power BI + Power Automate integration.
