I've noticed the Loans Table Data is Missing post, in one form or another, many times in the forum without a clear answer, so I thought I would add this post.
Big shoutout to Ben Clist for solving this in under a minute during the Power Up Program's Canvas Apps Live Q&A—turns out it was a classic Layer 8 issue (a.k.a. me).
Here’s what got it working for me:
- Power Apps > Solutions > School Library → Edit
- Scroll to the Set-up canvas app → Play
- Click on Add Data
After a few minutes, you’ll see green status bars showing successful dummy data creation—including the Loans table. The attached image walks you through all 3 steps. Now enjoy Lesson 6. Connect to Loans table data in my canvas app 😊
Note: Ben mentioned this was covered in the Power Up Canvas App videos but wasn’t certain the exact one. If anyone knows, please drop it in the comments to help others!
