Error in design studio

Hello everyone,

Every time I go into my website designer, I get an error at the top saying "Unable to render native controls". When I try to click on the "Learn more" button, the link that it gives me is "https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2249057".

However, this link doesn't seem to be working, as it just redirects me to Bing.

The account I'm using is an administrator account, so I don't believe this is a question of permission issues. In any case, I've already checked that, and I've also tried to restart the site and also updated the Power Pages Core solution to make sure it was on the latest version.

Please also note this is a newly created environment.

I've also tried to open the designer on multiple browsers, but the error always remains.

I'm also getting an error saying "Unable to load this code component in studio" when trying to add a card gallery to my site.

Does anyone have the same issue or know how to solve this?

Hi @TS-15041317-0,

This is a known Power Pages Design Studio limitation and service issue, not a permission problem.

Key facts:

Design Studio cannot always render native or code based components like Card Gallery or PCF controls
These components often work in Preview or Live, even when Studio fails
The broken Learn more link is a known Microsoft issue
Recent Power Pages updates have caused this warning to appear temporarily in multiple environments

Try these:

1) Use Preview or Live site to validate components
The Card Gallery and other code components often:

Fail only in Studio
Render correctly in Preview and Live

2) Verify table permissions and web roles
Even if Studio errors:

Card Gallery needs correct Dataverse table permissions
Web roles must allow Read access

Preview bypasses some permission checks, Studio does not.

3) Accept this as a design-time limitation
Microsoft explicitly states:

Some components are blocked in Studio for security reasons
They run only at runtime

4) If still blocked, raise Microsoft support ticket
Especially for new environments where:

Restart does not help
Site preview also fails
