Copilot in Power pages design studio

Hi,

I have tried to enable the use of Copilot in Power Pages design studio and I tried to follow all the documentation I have found on the topic. But the Copilot is not showing up.

And when I try to connect from VS Code i get a warning that the use of AI is not enabled in my environment despite all the settings are correct according to the doc I can find.

Anyone know what can cause this? Can it be a license issue ?

Yes, this can be a license issue, but more importantly:

The combination of license + region + tenant settings determines Copilot availability.

Since:

It’s missing in UI

AND VS Code says AI not enabled

This confirms it’s environment capability issue, not just UI configuration.

I get that, but my struggle is to figure out what is missing. Because according to what i can find in docs then environment is enabled, the licence is in place and the region should allow it.

So I guess I am seeking an explanation of why it does not work in my case.

Hi

Here are a few hints. I don't know if you've checked them all, but it's best to double-check to make sure you have everything covered:

1. You need a license that includes AI capabilities.
2. Your environment must be in a supported region.
3. It shouldn't be a developer or limited trial environment, as Copilot isn't enabled in some cases.
4. In Environment --> Settings --> Product --> Features, make sure Copilot and all features are enabled.
5. In some tenants, you need to enable "generative AI features."
6. Make sure you're a system administrator or equivalent and have full access to Power Pages and Dataverse.

Let me know if you've checked all of this.
