Hello all,

is it possible or will it be possible in the future to use an MCP server that is running locally on the end users machine with Copilot Agents?

We do have the following use case: One of the desktop applications we use is integrating an MCP server. However the MCP server for the application runs along the desktop application on the local machine of the individual users. I want to provide theses users with an Copilot Agent that has the capability to use tools provided via this MPC server. Is there a way to connect an MCP server running on localhost to a Copilot Agent?

Hi @FE-10070859-0

I would expect that you can setup an OnPremise Data gateway. This would allow you to leverage Cloud flows to call into the MCP Server.

Is that what you are looking for?
