Allocation of auths to environments

Trying to split out an MOQ of 100 auth users within my tenant across multiple Power Pages environments.

Receive a message that a minimum of 25 auths is required for an environment (won't let me enter a number less than 25) - is that a general setting or a tenant-level setting that could be potentially changed to allow a lower number of auths to be allocated?

Thanks

Unfortunately, the 25-user minimum per Power Pages environment is a hard product requirement from Microsoft — not a tenant setting you can adjust. It applies across all organizations.

Here's what this means for you:

With your 100 authenticated users, you can split them across multiple environments, but each environment needs at least 25 users. So you could do:

    • Environment 1: 25 users

    • Environment 2: 25 users

    • Environment 3: 25 users

    • Environment 4: 25 users

That works perfectly. But you can't create an environment with, say, 10 users the system won't allow it because 25 is the absolute floor.

Anonymous users are different though those have a 200-user minimum per environment if you're using that licensing model.

The good news: Since you have exactly 100 users to allocate, you can cleanly distribute them across 4 environments with 25 each. There's no workaround needed; the math works in your favor.

Let me know if that answers your question. have a nice day

    Hi @AndyCutler,
You cannot assign fewer than 25 authenticated users to any environment, and this limit cannot be changed. It is a fixed Microsoft licensing requirement

    Minimum allocation requirement:
Authenticated users: Minimum quantity that needs to be assigned to an environment is 25. Power Pages authenticated users are purchased as capacity and assigned to environments. Authenticated user capacity is sold in packs (e.g., 100 users):

    I hope this helps you!
    Thanks!
