Copilot Studio Agent adds an extra AI‑generated reply after my Topic answer

I’ve built an Agent in Copilot Studio and enabled Generative Orchestration.

When I ask a question that should be handled by a Topic, the Agent correctly replies with my Topic’s scripted answer but then appends another AI‑generated answer after it—every time. I’m trying to understand whether this is expected behavior and how to configure the Agent to return only the Topic answer.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new Agent in Copilot Studio.

  2. Turn Generative Orchestration ON.

  3. Create a Topic (e.g., “Office hours” or “Contact method”) with a simple Send a message node and end the topic.

  4. Test the Agent with a trigger phrase that maps to the Topic.

  5. Observe: the Topic’s scripted reply appears, followed by an AI‑generated reply appended to the same turn

Expected behavior

Only the Topic’s scripted answer should be sent back.

Actual behavior

The Topic’s scripted answer is sent, then an additional AI‑generated answer is appended to the same turn.

    That's the Generative Orchestration that generates a Plan and answers your question.
    If you add a End Conversation topic node to the end of your Topic, this second answer should not be generated.
