Work IQ MCP Issues

We would like to check if there is any issue with fetching of the attachments from email from Work IQ MCP Servers.

We were just exploring the features and we add it as tools in a basic copilot studio agent and when tried to fetch the attachments, getting below errors, we just want to understand if we are missing something or its a known issue as of now:

However, when attempting to retrieve attachments from one of these emails, the system reported that the resource was not found for the segment requested. This means the attachment could not be located or accessed from the email at this time.
The original email and its replies mention schema backup files as attachments, but attempts to retrieve these attachments resulted in an error: "Resource not found for the segment." This means the attachments are not accessible for download, or the files are not available in the mailbox at this time.

If I understand correctly, you'd like to add this tool within a specific Topic  and the issue is that while you can see it, you're unable to add it directly at that level.

This is expected behavior: MCP servers in Copilot Studio are configured at the agent level as Tools, rather than as individual Topic nodes (such as "Draft an Email Message").
When you attempt to add it within a Topic, the system will redirect you to the Tools section, where it adds the MCP IQ MAIL server.

    No, it is not working.
Is there any work around to query m365 ecosystem (Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint & Onedrive) to find and export attachments.

not sure if you mean somethink like that but. You can use Microsoft Purview eDiscovery to search and export attachments across Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Here’s what to do:
    1. Create an eDiscovery case in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
    2. Run a content search across mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
    3. Use filters like hasattachment:true or file extensions to target attachments.
    4. In export options, enable Access links (cloud attachments) to include linked files.
    5. Export results as PST/MSG for emails and native files for SharePoint/OneDrive.

You can then download the export from the Process Manager page.
