Hi everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone has experience using Dataverse as a knowledge source in Copilot Studio. I find that when I search in all columns except lookup, it works fine, but it is unable to identify my data in a lookup column, even though I have added the table that is referenced in the lookup to my knowledge source.

I have ensured that my views, Dataverse index, and Quick Find search fields are set up correctly.

I hope someone can help, thank you in advance.

I am member of dataverse, but I didnt even think of using it as source.Could it be being governed or censored by your company?

1. Add both the lookup column and the related table (the table being looked up) are included in the knowledge source.

2. create calculated or virtual fields that bring over values from related tables into the main table so that Copilot can directly access them without having to traverse relationships.

Hi MR-10091350-0 ,

There are some limitations when using Dataverse Knowledge source directly.

Anyhow you still have workaround to achieve it. More than using the knowledge source directly here, we tried using Custom Prompt with AI builder and connect to dataverse tables. By which we will be able to modify the responses to a larger extent.
