I am using Appointments table in dataverse where i have created Account Name as the lookup column from the Accounts table.

I am using NewForm in canvas app where Account Name is a combobox which is getting populated from the Accounts table in dataverse

Items Property of Account Name (multiselect enabled)

Choices([@Appointments].'Account')

When i try to save multiple value using below Patch function, it throws error. It works fine when i save single value using the code ComboBox1_3.Selected.

May i know whats the issue here?

Because you’re trying to store multiple records into a single-valued lookup field, ComboBox1_3.SelectedItems returns a table (list of records).

Hi @Poweruser32490

I want to point out, that you either way, (and using batch is possible but in your case you are NOT patching the formatted Task (appointment) you are simply trying to populate a single field (a Lookup of Account))

With Batches you cannot do this aka you cannot patch multiple at the same time unless the schema etc matches perfectly and yours does not.

Also note, that even if it did, you are creating a bunch of blank appointments with a single column populated, regardless of (and it does not) bulk worked this way or not.

In appointment, we are having this regarding field as POLYMORPHIC Field, so please try to pass the values accordingly.

Hi All,

I don't have the option to allow multiselect in the lookup column in D365 unlike sharepoint. When i try to save multiple value using below Patch function, it throws error. It works fine when i save single value using the code ComboBox1_3.Selected instead of ComboBox1_3.SelectedItems

Patch(Appointments, Defaults(Appointments),{ 'Account': ComboBox1_3.SelectedItems})
