Hi,

I created a copilot agent for my company but was using it on a trial subscription which was fine since it's just a POC for now, today my trial ended so I went to renew it as usual, but I got greeted with this (attached image)

I can't switch environments to continue working on it and i need to access it because have a demo today, can anyone assist me? (keep in mind that this is the first time this has happened to me)

If you suddenly can’t switch environments or open your agents, you’re most likely hitting an expired trial. It’s a pretty common scenario. Your bots may still be running, but your “keys” to the editor are no longer valid.

    What’s happening

Your work isn’t gone, but your access to the Dataverse environments where those agents live gets restricted once the trial expires.

    • If you were using a trial environment, there’s usually a grace period (around 30 days) before it gets deleted
    • If it’s a production/default environment, the data stays, but you won’t be able to access it without a valid license

    How to fix it fast

    Extend the trial
Check for a banner in Copilot Studio or an email notification. There’s often an option to extend the trial for another 30 days.

    Get a license assigned
If this is for work, ask your admin to assign a Copilot Studio / Power Platform license. This is the proper long-term fix.

    About agents still running
Don’t panic if your bot is still active. Microsoft usually keeps things running for a period after expiry so you have time to sort out licensing.

    Bottom line

Your agents and data are still there. You’ve just lost access due to the expired trial. Renew the trial or get licensed, and you’ll regain access.
