How can I copy a site

Hi guys,

I published a site that integrates with Dynamic 365 Sales Professional. I develop it in the same environment of Dynamic 365 Sales Professional. However, what if I have to update some new features?
In Power Apps solutions, we can export or import solution. But my site has to integrate with Dynamic 365 Sales Professional. I can't have it in another environment.
Is that possible that I can copy a site in the same environment, make any updates, and then try to replace the old version?

No, it doesn't really work that way, or at least not easily. If you copy the site, then those items become... different, it's not the same as upgrading.

I would say this.. depending on your company and if they are Microsoft Partners, no matter how small (even a single person), you can pay for Partner level benefits which are extremely cheap and that would allow you to have another environment where you have D365 Sales and you could do your dev there.

I am not saying its not... possible its just extremely hard as again, the site just because it has the same "visually looking named things" will not have the same actual schema named things and will cause you issues, just like it would pretty much any other time from any other solution.

I dunno maybe someone else has some magic scripts to repair this, but if you were going to do it, you would have to do it using GIT but then again.. its still the same environment, so you still need different "sites" which means different pieces regardless of names.

Generally speaking you should have multiple environments, and then promote your changes from your development environment to Production using a Solution.

Either build a new environment, installing Sales Pro etc and Solutions with your changes, or you can establish a copy of your environment by either copy or restore from backup to a new instance (from  the admin Center  https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com). note, after doing a copy/restore the site will need to be activated in the new environment (i.e. the site will not show in the default active tab but will be under the inactive tab where it can be activated).
