Copilot Studio Agent Gives Wrong References When Using Graph Connector with On-Prem File Share

Hi,

I'm working with Microsoft Copilot Studio (Licensed) and I created two agents:

Agent 1 is connected to some Process documents hosted on SharePoint Site.
Agent 2 is connected to the exact same documents, but they are hosted on-premises and integrated via the Microsoft Graph Connector.

Both agents have Advanced Search (semantic search) turned on and the toggles Use general knowledge and Use information from the Web are both turned OFF.

The issue is with Agent 2: Although it provides answers, the citations/references it shows are almost alwasy wrong. That is, it points to the wrong file almost always, and as a result, the answer is wrong as well.

Note: The Graph Connector was set up by an admin

Agent 1 on the other side, (with SharePoint Online) returns the correct referenced files, pointing to the correct document every time.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Could this be due to the connector not supporting page-level chunking or vector alignment the same way SharePoint Online does?

Is there a recommended schema layout or property labeling to improve reference accuracy for on-prem content via Graph Connector?

Are there known bugs or workarounds in the connector that affect citation matching in Copilot?
