How do I import a Flow file with a .xaml extension into Power Automate? The "Import Flow from file" option doesn't appear in my version of Power Automate. My program version is:

Import a Flow file

Hi,

The .xaml file format is used by Power Automate Desktop (PAD) for desktop flows, not cloud flows. The “Import Flow from file” option is only available for cloud flows in the web portal, and it uses .zip packages, not .xaml files.

Since you’re working with Power Automate Desktop (based on your version info), here’s what you need to do:

Open Power Automate Desktop

Launch the PAD console.

Click “Open”

Instead of “Import,” use Open to load your .xaml file.

Navigate to the folder where your .xaml file is stored.

Verify Compatibility

The .xaml file must be created in PAD or exported from PAD.

If it’s from another tool (like UiPath), it won’t work directly—you’ll need to rebuild the flow in PAD.
