Issue with Knowledge File Groups (Preview) in Copilot Studio

Hello,

I have been testing the new Knowledge File Groups feature in Copilot Studio (currently in Preview). When I upload the same PDFs individually and select them as separate sources in the generative answers node, everything works fine. But as soon as I select the File Group (with the same PDFs inside), I get the error:

“Cannot reference variable from component … is not allowed.”

This happens consistently across topics, even after rebuilding the generative answers node or recreating the group.

1. Has anyone managed to use Knowledge File Groups successfully in Preview?

2. Is this a known limitation/bug that will be fixed when the feature becomes GA?
