Issue 1:

· We have a Copilot Studio agent that works correctly when accessed through Microsoft Copilot. However, the same agent does not work when used from a Microsoft Teams channel.
· Could you please let us know what we should check? The agent provides the correct responses in Microsoft Copilot, but in the Teams channel it consistently returns the message: "I couldn’t find an exact match."

Issue 2:

We want the Copilot agent to monitor the Teams channel and respond to user questions automatically. This is not working currently because the agent must be invoked using @ each time.

issue 3:

We would also like the agent to learn from user questions and provide answers whenever it has the required information

Thanks for sharing the details. Please check the following:

Issue 1 – Works in Microsoft Copilot but not Teams

Ensure the latest agent version is published and the Teams/Microsoft 365 channel is enabled.

Verify the user has access to the agent and any underlying knowledge sources.

Test the same query in Copilot Studio and Teams and review the conversation/agent trace for the failed Teams request.

If possible, share the agent’s Teams channel configuration and an example query that works in Copilot but returns “I couldn’t find an exact match” in Teams.

Issue 2 – No @mention required

By design, an agent in a Teams channel generally requires an explicit invocation such as @mention. If you need the agent to automatically process channel messages, a Teams/Power Automate-based workflow may be required.

Issue 3 – Learning from user questions

The agent does not automatically learn and add every Teams conversation as trusted knowledge. Relevant information should be captured, validated, and added to a supported knowledge source for the agent to use.
