How to ensure user is able to download attachments from gallery as well as show attachments submitted by users in gallery. Here is my issue currently the attachment by default is enabled so when user submits a form the attachment data is stored in Notes Dataverse Table , whereas my other info is stored in the customer documents table. so i am having issues with retrieving of attachment as well please help

Hi

Is your objective to use the Notes table or the File column directly from the Customer table?

You can expose the column if you need, but that would represent a 1:1, so basically one customer has only 1 document

By using the Notes you can attach multiple documents to the same record (1:N)

I have managed to figure out how to solve it . is not the best solution but it works.

Really simple i added a timeline section into the form.

This timeline section collects the notes data and when you submit you can view details and download the attachments.

In the form:

you can try out my method , do not i used 2 different forms one for create and the other for view. both have the same sections in the form.

Because Notes Table is not created by me it is auto created by power pages when let's say you choose the enable attachments for a form. this table stores the attachments as can be seen in the picture below.

Now my issue is, not sure if you saw the screenshots, but I am not able to get the attachments data from the notes dataverse I have tried multiple ways and nothing seems to work. I tried switching out the gallery to reflect the notes table but it shows the name of the attachment and that's all it does , it does not let you download the attachment or view the attachment. so if you know of any other way please let me know. i also did try adding an attachment field to my actual dataverse which is customer documents but i wasn't able to add documents to the field hence i didn't have a choice but do it this way.

What problems are you having retrieving the attachments? Isn't it finding the data?

Is the Notes table configured as a data source in your gallery?
