I created a PVA (Power Virtual Agent) a few years ago and existing employees all are using without an issue. When I send the link to a new employee to share/add in Teams, we get the error something went wrong as soon as we click "Add." The existing link pulls up imaging that does look very different than it did before and is missing information, so I do believe the issue is with the generated link.

    Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue.

Based on your description, it appears that the Microsoft Teams app/share link for your Power Virtual Agent (Copilot Studio bot) may no longer be valid or may have been affected by recent platform changes.

To help investigate, could you please provide the following information?

    • Is the bot currently published and available in Copilot Studio?
    • Are the new users able to access the bot through any other method, or does the issue only occur when using the Teams "Add" link?
    • Does the error occur for all new users or only specific users?
    • Could you share a screenshot of the error message ("Something went wrong") and, if possible, the generated share link (you may redact any sensitive information)?
    • Has anything changed recently, such as tenant settings, Teams policies, or bot permissions?

    •

In the meantime, please try the following:

    1. Republish the bot in Copilot Studio.
    2. Generate a new Microsoft Teams share/install link, if available.
    3. Verify that the bot has been configured for Microsoft Teams and that the Teams channel is enabled.
    4. Confirm that the affected users have the required permissions and that no Teams app setup policy is preventing installation.
    5. If possible, test with another new user account to determine whether the issue is user-specific or affects all new users.

    6.

Once we receive the requested information, we'll be happy to investigate further and assist with identifying the root cause.

    Thank you.

    • Is the bot currently published and available in Copilot Studio? -- Yes
    • Are the new users able to access the bot through any other method, or does the issue only occur when using the Teams "Add" link? -- Not able to access at all due to issue with link
    • Does the error occur for all new users or only specific users? -- All new users
    • Could you share a screenshot of the error message ("Something went wrong") and, if possible, the generated share link (you may redact any sensitive information)? -- Screenshots were included with original question and look like still under review.
    • Has anything changed recently, such as tenant settings, Teams policies, or bot permissions? Nothing has changed on our end

    1. Republish the bot in Copilot Studio. -- Bot was republished in both Teams environment and Copilot Studio
    2. Generate a new Microsoft Teams share/install link, if available. -- Please explain how to generate a new link
    3. Verify that the bot has been configured for Microsoft Teams and that the Teams channel is enabled. - The bot was built in teams app through Power Virtual Agent before it became Copilot Studio
    4. Confirm that the affected users have the required permissions and that no Teams app setup policy is preventing installation. -- IT confirmed users have required permissions (same as those able to use it)
    5. If possible, test with another new user account to determine whether the issue is user-specific or affects all new users. -- It is affecting every new user not just one
