We are getting an issue when using a Patch() statement to insert a record from Power Apps. It is asking for fields that are not included in the Patch() statement and should not be required

does anyone face this type of issue then please provide how do you resolve it

    Hello,

    To point you in the right direction, could you share a bit more detail?

    1. What data source are you patching to? (Azure SQL, Dataverse, SharePoint, etc.)

    2. What is the exact error message you're seeing?

    3. A screenshot of your Patch() formula.
    Thanks.

    This usually happens when the data source has mandatory fields or default values that aren’t being handled in your Patch() call. To resolve it, check the schema in Dataverse/SharePoint and either provide defaults for required fields, remove them from the form, or use Defaults(Source) with Patch so the system fills in non‑essential fields automatically.

    The first things I would check are:
    • Whether the "missing" fields are actually marked as Required in the data source.
    • Whether there are any Business Rules, plugins, or server-side validations enforcing them.
    • Refresh or re-add the data source to clear cached metadata.
    • Use Monitor to capture the exact error returned by the server.
    If you can share:
    • The data source (Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, etc.),
    • Your Patch() formula, and
    • The exact error message,
    it will be easier to pinpoint the root cause.
