Collection only loads 100 records

Hello,

I am creating collection grom a gallery - this is connected to some 400-ish records filtered table and the collection only contains 100 rows each time. What is that for a limit?

ClearCollect(colVypis;galVypis.AllItems)

Also I have one general question - when creating a collection from a SP document liberary like below, is there a limitation of number of rows?

ClearCollect(
    colPrezencky; 'Sken_Prezenční listiny');;

Thank you

    If the gallery is connected to a datasource, it will only load 100 items until the user scrolls to the bottom of the gallery when another 100 items are loaded. The is will continue until all items in the datasource are loaded.

    This is expected. And adding to @RobElliott response,

    Gallery.AllItems only returns the records that are already loaded in the gallery, not all records from the data source. Galleries load about 100 items by default. So when you do:
    ClearCollect(colVypis; galVypis.AllItems)
    You only get those loaded items.
    And for this :
    ClearCollect(colPrezencky; 'Sken_Prezenční listiny')

    Yes, there is also a limit. ClearCollect() is non - delegable (meaning the query is not translated back to datasource). So it is limited by the apps data row limit setting (500 by default, upto 2000 records)

    That is because the Items of your Gallery must be a Delegable filter, which by design (for performance reasons) brings the records back in batches of 100, which increase automatically as the user scrolls beyond the currently loaded batch of 100. So unless the user has scrolled down you will only get 100 items in your Collection. You can deal with this in a few ways - the first if your expected data set in the gallery is smaller than your Data Row Limit, do this (substitute the Items of your gallery where shown below).
    ClearCollect(
       colVypis;
       YourGalleryItemsInHere
    )
    Regarding your question on limits, a Collection is restricted to your Data Row Limit (500 standard, 2,000 maximum) anyway. There are ways of "stacking" a collection if more records are required, but firstly, how many are you expecting in the Gallery, what is your Data Row Limit, how amny files are in your Library and what is the Items of your Gallery ?

    The issue is not with ClearCollect but with the gallery.

    galVypis.AllItems only returns the records currently loaded in the gallery, which is limited to 100 by design. When you collect from a gallery, you only get those rendered rows and not all records from the data source. This limit cannot be changed. To load all records and collect directly from the data source instead of the gallery. Delegation rules still apply (500/2000 limit), but this will return more than 100 records. The same concept applies to SharePoint document libraries as well.
