We are facing an issue while using the Microsoft PowerPoint application on Android-based devices.
When opening PowerPoint Show files (.ppsx) and Macro-Enabled Show files (.ppsm), the slide background automatically changes to black. This issue significantly affects the presentation and content visibility.
This behavior has been consistently observed across multiple Android devices, including:
- Android smartphones
- Android tablets
- Interactive Flat Panels (IFP panels)
Many suggestions recommend converting files to the .pptx format. However, since .ppsx and .ppsm are official file formats provided by Microsoft PowerPoint, they should work correctly without requiring conversion. We are not using files generated from any third-party applications—only standard Microsoft Office formats.
Additionally:
- The issue is observed in the latest versions of the PowerPoint app.
- Older versions of the application did not show this problem.
Expected Behavior:
All PowerPoint-supported file formats (.ppsx, .ppsm, .pptx) should render correctly without altering slide backgrounds.
Request:
Please investigate this issue and provide a fix or workaround so that .ppsx and .ppsm files display correctly across Android devices without background color changes.
This issue is impacting presentation quality and usability, and a resolution would be highly appreciated.
